Sephora Hauls

To treat myself for my birthday last weekend, I hauled not once, but twice, at Sephora.com. My second order was made the night before I received the 15% off coupon, how frustrating is that! I've been meaning to use that coupon this week but work has been so busy and I just came home so I'm sure Sephora would be closed by now. Plus Nor-Cal has been extremely hot these couple days I really just want to stay in my room with the fan on hahaha. I hope it cools down soon though, because I am not ready for summer yet! I want my spring :)

Onto the first package:

I got the Korres face primer, Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in David, OPI base coat. For my birthday Sephora gave me this mini lip gloss trio, which are really cute and perfect for my purse. Also, for beauty insiders, I got this mini set of Philosophy products to try out for free. It includes the Philosophy purity facewash I've always wanted to try, so I was pretty excited that I got the sample for free!

The Korres face primer is said to be 98.93% natural, and is silicone free. I was immediately drawn to this because I hated the feeling of silicone based primers on my face. I've been using this primer for almost a week now. I agree with Diana that it's not the bestest primer out there and it is not too oil controlling. But since I have really oily skin, I do feel that it helps me at least a little bit. I don't find myself blotting as often as I used to. Plus I love the citricy smell of this primer. I will keep using this for a while and let you know how it is.

The Urban Decay Pocket Rocket is a huuuge lipgloss, I think one of the biggest I've ever had. And obviously, it has the most interesting packaging as well :p According to the Sephora website:

"With the tilt of a tube, your well-dressed man will be stripped to his undies (front and rear photos are included for your viewing pleasure!). The crème-brulee-scented formula slicks and shines your pout to pucker perfection, with each highly pigmented shade varying in opacity and finish. It also contains Hyaluronic Spheres that are known to improve cellular function, prevent dehydration, and fill in lines and wrinkles."

So far it's okay, David is a really beautiful milky mauve color. I am not sure if I like the creme-brulee smell since it is a little bit too sweet for me, but I can live with it.

Now onto the second package:

I placed this order after receiving Sephora's email about the free gift with purchase for Benefit products, I posted about it here. Got this package last night, and I was surprised at how BIG the free gift is! What's even cooler is the inside:

It'll be perfect for travel. It's roomy enough to carry a lot of makeup, and the brush holders will definitely come handy! The best part is, I got it for free :)

ALL these also came with the free bag:

The shower cap is just too cute for words! I am not too sure about the BLUE mascara and the BLUE gloss, at least I like the name of it: California Kissin'

What I bought:

After hearing so many raves about the Benefit cream shadow/liner, I finally gave in and got two: Skinny Jeans and Birthday Suit. I thought the "Birthday Suit" is espcially suitable for the occasion since I am buying this to celebrate my birthday. (gee do I just buy products because of their names or something?) They came in this "Girl's Night In" kit that also includes a brush, a lipstick, and some MAGNETS?!! The brush is pretty handy since it's perfect size to get the cream shadows and apply them on my eyelids, so I don't have to use my fingertips for that. I also heard good things about the lipstick, but I have yet to try it. I tried both the cream shadows today, using the darker Skinny Jeans as a crease color and Birthday Suit as an all over color. And they are right, it didn't crease all day! And the texture is AAAMAZING! Literally feels like butter, hahaha. Forget the Revlon cream shadows, I am using this everyday now :p

I also got the Sephora mini heated eyelash curler. It's so cute and tiny, and it's pink!

I've been looking for an heated eyelash curler ever since Fuz raved about it. I wanted to get the Panasonic one, but when I went to Amazon, they were all out of it at the time. So I decided to just give this Sephora one a try, and plus buying it will help me to get the free shipping. I tried it today, and it's not too shabby at all! I paired it up with my Kiss Me mascara, applied one coat of it, let it dry, and then used the heated lash curler, then BAM, my lashes looked like Fuz's!!! hahaha I was very pleased with the result, even the bf noticed how curly and long my lashes looked today :D I am happy I bought this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I tested out the MUFE aqua liner Diana aka Mayaari gave me for my prize. I put the MUFE one on my left eye and my UD 24/7 liner on the other and was out and about for the whole day under the 90 degree humid weather. What a good weather to test out these products! As what I expected, the UD one smudged on me yet once again, and also left black blobs at the corner of my eye twice! But the MUFE one stayed put for the whole day, whoaaaa amazing!!! Also, MUFE was much easier to apply onto my tightline since it goes on much smoother, and it didn't leave any excess products in between my eyelashes, which makes mascara application less smooth, and causes fall outs. However, the UD one always does that to me. I'll take a picture of my eyes in the future and show you what I mean.
So I am really glad that I have found my new favorite HG eyeliner! I wanted to say thank you to Diana again for giving this to me to try!!! : ) Now it'll definitely be put into good use everyday!
Alright, I am off to eat ice cream! haha I bought some Häagen-Dazs today but accidentally left them at work, only to realize it after already pulling out of parking lot. I had to run back in to grab my ice cream, hahaha silly me.
